About Us

Since 1987, Carron & Fink, LLC has been helping families and individuals to resolve legal issues and to save their loved ones from unnecessary embarrassment or State involvement.

 

Being a criminal Lawyer is defending people from being charged with crimes. Sometimes good people make mistakes. Sometimes good people are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sometimes good people get trapped into dependency. The attorneys at Carron & Fink can help. We strive to avoid the generation of criminal records for our clients. We use a variety of programs and strategies to avoid having to plead to any offenses.

 

Juvenile Law involves three different areas: Neglect, Delinquency, and Youthful Offender. In the Neglect area, parents and guardians are charged by the State (Department of Children and Families) with either doing something or not doing something which is injurious to a child. In the Delinquency area, the child (under 16) is charged with a violation. In Youthful Offender area, a child of 16 or 17 is charged with violating the adult criminal code. The first two areas are handled in Connecticut in separate Juvenile Courts. The Youthful Offenders are handled separately in a separate session of the adult criminal court.

Juvenile Law

If your child has been arrested, they can be either cited and released or detained to a juvenile detention facility.  If your child is in custody the DA must comply with some strict laws regarding juvenile custody.  Inability to comply can result in release while the case is pending. Cases involving a juvenile are very important and can lead to lifelong consequences if handled improperly. Bio for Mark Carron

 

Lead Attorney at Carron and Fink with over twenty years of aggressive Trial experience, practicing predominately Family Law, with a “minor” in General Practice Law.

Born Brooklyn, New York, December 1947. Practicing law in CT since 1996. Undergrad Polytechnic Institute of New York 1968, Texas A&M ME 1972, JD from University of Bridgeport 1986.

 

Bio for David Carron

Associate Attorney at Carron and Fink since March 2004, Practicing Family, Juvenile, Educational Law

In addition to my legal experience, I have a B.A. in Psychology and worked for three years in various mental health residential facilities and group homes. I also have specific background experience with children with TBI, Autism, and Borderline Personality Disorders. He is now in the process of attaining a NACC Child Welfare Law Specialty Certification for CT, and took classes at Yale of this year for The Institute for Trial Attorneys.

Born in Schenectady New York, June 1973. Admitted to MA Bar in 2002, CT Bar in 2005. New England School of Law, Boston, Massachusetts, Graduated January 2001. Undergrad University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

From I- 95 South (coming from Shelton, Trumbull, Stratford, Bridgeport): Get off at exit 19, go straight off ramp to traffic light. At traffic light turn right onto Rte. 1, the Post Road. Go through 3 traffic lights, then see Stop & Shop on left. Shortly thereafter, see Peppermill Restaurant on left. Turn into Peppermill parking lot and drive around behind restaurant to far end of rear parking lot. At rear end of office building see sign for Carron & Fink, LLC. A covered porch area leads to Carron & Fink, LLC entrance. From I-95 North (coming from Norwalk, Stamford, Greenwich): Get off at exit 19, turn left at bottom of ramp onto Center Street. Go straight to traffic light. At traffic light turn left onto Rte. 1, the Post Road. Go through 2 traffic lights, then see Stop & Shop on left. Shortly thereafter, see Peppermill Restaurant on left. Turn into Peppermill parking lot and drive around behind restaurant to far end of rear parking lot. At rear end of office building see sign for Carron & Fink, LLC. A covered porch area leads to Carron & Fink, LLC entrance.

From Merritt Parkway/southbound: Get off at exit 42, turn right off exit ramp, drive straight through one traffic light, straight through one stop sign, and straight to second stop sign. At second stop sign, turn left onto Cross Highway, then take second right onto Roseville Road. Travel 1.7 miles to traffic light and turn left onto Rte. 1, the Post Road. Stay on Post Road, going through six traffic lights. Shortly after sixth traffic light, see Peppermill Restaurant on right. Turn right into Peppermill parking lot and drive around behind restaurant to far end of rear parking lot. At rear end of office building see sign for Carron & Fink, LLC.
